Dentists in Southend With Dental Plans or 0% Finance: 7 Practices to Know

By the UK Living Guide editorial team · Updated 27 October 2026 · 5 min read

If you would rather spread the cost of dental care than pay in one go, Southend has practices offering two main routes: monthly dental plans such as Denplan, which cover routine check-ups and hygiene visits, and interest-free finance, which spreads the cost of a specific treatment such as implants or aligners. The seven practices below publish one or both options on their own websites, checked in October 2026.

How we put this list together: practices were chosen because their own websites describe a dental plan or a finance option, and we also considered NHS and private availability, services and location; they are listed, not scored or rated.

Before signing up to anything, it helps to compare how each practice describes its options. At Inspire Dental Southend, for example, the focus is on interest-free finance for treatment alongside NHS care, while other practices on this list run Denplan schemes for routine visits. Which suits you depends on whether you mainly want predictable monthly costs for check-ups or help paying for a larger course of treatment.

The practices

1. Inspire Dental Southend, London Road, Westcliff-on-Sea

Inspire Dental Southend at Karishaan House, 459 London Road (SS0 9LG) offers both NHS and private dentistry. Its finance page describes 0% finance, arranged through Tabeo, that lets patients spread the cost of routine, cosmetic or more advanced treatment into monthly payments, with an online application and a decision within minutes. For patients who want to stay on NHS charges, its fees page sets out the 2026 NHS bands, and its NHS profile (last confirmed 22 September 2026) shows it accepting new NHS patients for routine care. Private patients can book a new-patient examination listed at £35, which includes an oral cancer screening and digital X-rays if required. The practice opens until 8pm on Tuesdays and lists patient parking on site.

2. Westcliff Dental Practice, London Road, Westcliff-on-Sea

Westcliff Dental Practice at 340 London Road (SS0 7JJ) says on its website that it is taking private and Denplan patients. The site also states that the practice is an appointed representative of Chrysalis Finance and acts as a credit broker, not a lender. Treatments listed include dental implants, Invisalign, composite bonding and hygienist appointments.

3. Advanced Dental Aesthetics, Drewsteignton, Shoeburyness

Advanced Dental Aesthetics at 1 Drewsteignton (SS3 8BA) offers two Denplan plans: Denplan Care, which covers regular preventive and restorative treatment, and Denplan Essentials, which covers routine examinations, hygiene and X-rays and gives a 10% discount on additional treatment. It also offers interest-free finance over six or ten months. Its NHS profile lists free on-site parking.

4. Together Dental Shoeburyness, West Road, Shoeburyness

Together Dental Shoeburyness at 117 West Road (SS3 9DT) invites patients to join Denplan to spread the cost of check-ups and hygiene treatment monthly. Its website also has a finance and flexible payments section and lists treatments including implants, Invisalign and denture stabilisation. Its NHS profile shows it accepting new NHS patients for routine care if they are children aged 17 or under.

5. Together Dental Southend, Southchurch Road, Southend-on-Sea

The group's town-centre practice at Unit 2-4 Southchurch Road (SS1 2NE) says flexible 0% interest finance options are available. Its website lists implants, Teeth In A Day, Invisalign and facial aesthetics, and it opens from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.

7. Parmar Dental, Southchurch Road, Southend-on-Sea

Parmar Dental at 673 Southchurch Road (SS1 2PW) has a dedicated patient finance section on its website. The practice says it was established in 1977, runs a second surgery on Hadleigh Road in Leigh, and lists implants, Invisalign and CEREC crowns among its treatments.

Dental plan or finance: what is the difference?

A dental plan such as Denplan is usually a monthly fee paid to cover your routine private care, such as examinations and hygiene appointments. What is included varies between plans and practices, so read the plan terms carefully. A finance agreement is credit used to pay for a specific course of treatment, often over a set number of months. Interest-free finance is still a credit agreement, so you will normally go through an application and a credit check. NHS care sits outside both: NHS charges are set nationally and paid per course of treatment.

Is a plan or finance right for your household?

A monthly plan tends to suit people who already attend regularly and want a predictable cost for check-ups and hygiene, especially if they prefer private appointments. Finance tends to suit people facing one larger, planned treatment, such as replacing a missing tooth or straightening teeth, who would rather pay over several months. Neither is essential: if you are eligible for NHS care and can find a practice with places, NHS charges may be the simplest route for routine treatment. Before committing, add up what you would pay over a year under each option, including any deposit, and check how easy it is to cancel a plan.

How to choose a practice with a plan or finance option

  • Ask what a plan covers, including how many check-ups and hygiene visits a year, and whether X-rays are included.
  • Check whether discounts apply to treatment outside the plan.
  • For finance, ask for the total cost, the deposit, the term and what happens if you miss a payment.
  • Confirm who the lender is; a practice usually acts as a broker, not the lender.
  • Compare with NHS charges if you are eligible for NHS care at a practice with places.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use NHS care and a private plan at the same practice?

Many mixed practices offer both NHS and private care, but plans such as Denplan relate to private treatment. Ask the practice how it separates the two before you join.

Is 0% finance the same as paying in instalments?

It works in a similar way, but it is a regulated credit agreement with a lender. Read the agreement and make sure the monthly payments fit your budget.

How much is an NHS check-up instead?

In England, a Band 1 course of treatment costs £27.90 and covers an examination, X-rays if needed and advice. Some people qualify for free NHS dental care, including under-18s and people on certain benefits.

Can I get help with dental costs?

You may qualify for free or reduced-cost NHS dental treatment depending on your age, pregnancy or benefits. The NHS and GOV.UK both have eligibility checkers.
